What is the optimal Option Lot Size for me?
We do NOT recommend any lot size. We use a lot size in our newsletter for educational reasons only. This is needed to reflect ratios, and for scaling in and out of positions, morphs and rolls. We use a default lot size of 10 so that calculations are straight forward.
What is the optimal Account Size for me?
We do not recommend any account size. We recommend at least the minimum size to open an account at ThinkorSwim. Be advised, however, that options investments do entail risk and that you should only invest a portion of your portfolio. Additionally, this is a question that you can ask a qualified representative at ThinkorSwim. You may also elect to open a paper trading account with TOS to become acclimated and learn to actively invest.

We are an educational service. We provide realtime commentary and analysis on equities, ETFs, and indices and accompanying options to attempt to provide a realtime active investing education.
What type of a service are you?
We are an educational newsletter / hypothetical signal generation service.
What are your targets and stops?
Most of the time we use our options positions as our “built-in” stops. Because we often utilize spreads, we are generally very efficient in terms of capital usage. We only put a small portion of our hypothetical portfolio into each simulated position that we enter. This is capital that we theoretically would be willing to lose on that position. Targets are normally stated in our alerts and emails but because we monitor these positions full time in realtime, we do not adhere to hard targets but use them in a general sense. Thus our targets and stops tend to be dynamic and adjust to changing market conditions.
RSS Reader
Educational Alerts can be read using software called an "RSS reader." It’s a small but indispensable piece of software that will check for any updates or educational alerts in realtime.
SMS Text Messaging
We do have text messaging. When you sign up be sure to enter your telephone number, only if you want to receive text messages on alerts, updates or commentaries.

Can I do these trades in my IRA?
Some of the signals generated are possible to replicate in your IRA. On the ThinkorSwim platform the risk must be clearly defined so the position can be kept in an IRA account.
