Brett and Ron, My initial options education, which I obtained from a competitive organization, was very expensive, but was lacking in many areas. For example, I knew nothing about such techniques as rolling, morphing or gamma trading and I did not know how to adjust a trade if it started to go bad. Prior to joining Options University and the Options University Strategist, my trades consisted primarily of long calls. I knew about other strategies, but lacked the knowledge and confidence to apply them appropriately. When the OUS service was announced, I was at first a little concerned about spending $2470 for the service, but my concerns were soon dispelled when in about 10 days time, I had closed several trades and increased my small Roth IRA account by 48%. In three months time, I have completed 46 trades (total in my IRA account, and my wife’s IRA account) with the OUS service as my guide. These trades have included straddles, strangles, verticals, diagonals, long puts and a few long calls. The OUS Team's guidance has been excellent and both my knowledge and confidence are increasing. I find I sometimes close a trade prior to the OUS notification of the trade close, and sometimes even with a greater profit than OUS achieved. Earlier this week after the DJIA had declined several days in a row, I closed trades for a $1400 profit, and then the next day when the DJIA increased, I closed more trades for another $360 profit. I think I am even beginning to like this current market volatility. Following the OUS trades has been both a profitable and enlightening educational experience. I look forward to the day when I have gained enough knowledge and experience that I no longer need the OUS service, but until then, the ROI on the trades is definitely worth it and the education is priceless. Closed Positions: $9,771.43 (29.81% on cost; 27.11% on risk ) Rates of Return by Strategy (includes both open & closed positions): For the most part, I’ve been fortunate to execute trades at levels at least as favorable as your suggestions. However, not being home Tuesday morning when you closed out the DIA vertical cost me at least $1,000 by the time I closed it out late in the trading day. The autotrade will be an extremely welcome addition. Also, note that these results still change dramatically based on the market. One of the biggest benefits of the service is to be able to watch the management of trades. We’ve had some that started off against us, and OUS would close out the profitable side and wait on the leg for a reversal. ETFC as I recall could have been a disaster but ended up making 56.2% on risk. I’m a big believer in overall results and have been exceptionally pleased thus far. Results can be assessed both on an absolute and relative basis. This turbulent market has caused huge losses in most areas. For us to be up this much (without autotrade) is amazing. Because of your skill in adjusting trades, the realized (closed) returns are more meaningful than including open positions which are still being managed. Mark Chapman Dear OUS Gang, Your service is very hands on. You tell us exactly when to get in and when to get out. You don't just give us a stop-loss and a target and leave us to fend for ourselves like other services. I feel so secure with your trading service. You're always looking out for us ,telling us when to lighten up on a position or when to morph it or when to abandon it. When we lose on a position which isn't very often, the loss is very contained and there is always another more promising trade right around the corner. The market is a dynamic place and you are always there for us as conditions change. I would recommend your service to anyone who is just starting out trading options and is afraid to jump in the water. I'm glad I took the plunge.
Brett, Once the OUS service was announced in fall 2007, I knew it was for me... and I haven't been disappointed. The point is, it all has to do with who's running the show... and that means Ron Ianieri. I've had classes with Ron so I knew that this was going to be good and done properly from the beginning. The very first few trades, including spreads on SHLD, enabled me to cover a whole year's cost of the service within the first 6 weeks, and everything after that has been gravy. Then... just when I thought it couldn't get any better, OUS announced they were adding David Elliot to the program. This is a 5 star service (ie, 5 out of 5) for option traders, and the addition of the long term service is going to make it a "6 out of 5" star service. Dennis Avner Hi Ron - Bob Hello Brett,
My account is up by 20% in two months. OUS also allows me to see what professional traders are doing and learn from their trades. Hey Guys, I have had to make “selective” trades and thus far, I am Nine up and Four down. Now I am really excited since I can now make all the trades recommended by OUS. As a word of advice to other prospective members, be sure that some of the trades called for on OUS are “do-able” on your trading platform. I had an IRA account at Schwab and couldn’t make some of the trades. I have now moved half my funds to TOS and am able to participate in all of the OUS suggested trades. And I missed some big ones in the past. Give me more of those winners because I am set to rock and roll. Just a PS - Out of those 9 wins, I have paid my trading fees for OUS for the entire year.
